The emptiness inside can sometimes be hard to explain.

We may be surrounded by loved ones, family, friends and even your own children but still feel lonely. Our emaan levels fluctuate and we know this, we can find it hard to concentrate in salah and obtain khushoo. It can also be a feeling that is just present and make you feel low which sometimes, can make us feel depressed and sad.

If you are feeling like this or are going through a difficulty in your life then join Ustadh Ehsan Arshad this weekend to give you a little uplift, a nudge or gentle push to help you reconnect with your creator and find ways which will fill the emptiness you may be feeling.

Take some actions away from this LIVE ONLINE discussion which you can use when you are feeling lonely on a daily basis, and use this opportunity to discuss some of the specific feelings you may be having.

Make the most of this hour on Saturday with Ustadh Ehsan Arshad and register HERE.

Date: Saturday 25th January

Time: 5:30PM-6:30PM (UK Time)

We know that for the majority of our revert IslamWise family, this time of year can be a challenging time. Our families may be preparing for the upcoming holidays and festivities and it can start feeling isolating and depressing when you aren’t involved anymore. Especially when you may have spent all the earlier years of your life before you found Islam participating in these celebrations.

We wanted to arrange this monthly discussion to talk about the challenges that are faced by new Muslims and with someone who has been through this phase in their life to really be able to empathise with you.

Which is why we have arranged John Fontain for this months ONLINE live discussion: Christmas Season – Challenges faced by New Muslims.

This discussion is not only aimed at those who come from Christian families but anyone who struggles when it comes to religious/cultural celebrations within their families.

Host: John Fontain
Date: Saturday 21st December 6PM – 7PM (UK TIME).

We have a feeling that this will be a popular one, so please do REGISTER before all the places are taken.

This months topic: COPING WITH REJECTION

We hear from new Muslim sisters from all over the UK and overseas.

Most of the time all they want is to be able to share their problems, get advice, speak to other sisters and overcome the feeling of loneliness.

For this reason we have organised a NEW monthly live online discussion for new Muslim sisters.

So no matter where in the world they are from they can join and share experiences, offer advice and feel connected with other sisters!

Although the discussion will be tailored towards new Muslims and beginners anyone can take benefit, in sha Allah.

FREE webinar and places are LIMITED so please REGISTER early.

Some of the questions we frequently get from our revert brothers and sisters and newly practising Muslims are: What are madhhabs? Someone asked me what I follow -are these madhhabs different sects?

This can sometimes lead to confusion and whilst trying to get to grips with getting the basics right, this can feel overwhelming.

We want to make it easy for you and so this months’ ONLINE discussion is a ‘MUST ATTEND’ one – Beginners Guide to Madhhabs.

It takes place on Sunday 22nd September 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM (BST)

The discussion will be hosted by Shaikh Zakaullah Saleem.

Shaikh Zakaullah Saleem is the Head Imam of the Green Lane Masjid. He memorised the Qur’an at a very young age and has lead the Taraweeh prayers for over 28 years.

After completing his Islamic Education in Pakistan and obtaining an Aalimiyyah degree, he worked in numerous roles, including teaching various subjects of Islamic Studies, as well as being a research fellow, before coming to the UK in 2002.

Since his arrival in the UK, he has been visiting various masaajids regularly to deliver khutbahs and lectures. He has recently completed his Masters in Islamic Education from the Markfield Institute of Higher Education. He is also one of the instructors for the structured learning courses offered by GLM.

We know how difficult it can be when you first find Islam and take that big step, then the pressure that comes with being a new Muslim and trying to do everything right starts.

Statements like “You need to start growing your beard now brother” or ” You should start wearing a hijab now that you are a Muslim sister” can be frequent when you become a new Muslim.

We know it’s not easy and that’s why we have asked Gabriel Al Romaani to talk about these issues with you in this months LIVE ONLINE discussion titled – Pressures of Being a New Muslim

The discussion will aim to give you guidance which can ease you through this stage of your life in sha Allah.

The LIVE online discussion will take place on Friday 23rd August 8:30PM – 9:30PM (BST).

For our previous ONLINE discussion, we had 50% of spaces booked within 24 hours so please REGISTER early to avoid disappointment.

Although, this discussion will focus on the issues faced in particular by new Muslims, as a born Muslim some of these issues can still be very prominent in families when we start practising Islam more.

It is also important for us as a wider Muslim community to know how we can support new Muslims and make their transition easier into Islam. Therefore, we encourage you to attend and benefit from this session by registering HERE.
