ISlamwise provides NEW MUSLIM Support

Yusuf's Story

Yusuf tells us his experience as a revert Muslim and how IslamWise supported him on his journey to where he is after he had taken his shahadah.

Islam Essentials learning is already underway

Sister Leanne (not her real name) got in touch with us on the Islamwise mobile, she explained that she needed guidance and support.

Our team have helped her on her journey in Islam and she took her Shahadah with us this week (17/11/2020)! She has already attended our Islam Essentials class and we will continue to support her as much as she needs.

Alhumdulilah, it is only by the will of Allah and the support we receive that we able to support sisters like Leanne.

New Muslim Resource Packs

Our resource packs for new Muslims contain the following:

  • Tell Me All about Allah book – 99 names of Allah with an explanation of what each name of Allah SWT means.
  • Tell Me How to Pray – This goes through the basic steps of Wudu and the prayer.
  • Tell Me About Islam – This book talks about the six articles of faith, the five pillars of Islam, life, death, the prophet Muhammed, the Qur’an, and more to give more in-depth knowledge about these concepts in Islam.
  • An English translated Qur’an

‘The most beloved of people according to Allah is he who brings most benefit to people..’

(Tabarani – Hasan, Silsilah Saheeha, Al-AlBani)

1-2-1 Personal Mentoring

We will assign our revert brothers or sisters a personal 1-2-1 mentor for 10 weeks where they will keep in regular contact and teach them the basics of Islam. We endeavour to provide education and support in all aspects of their new Muslim life and answer any questions they may have.

The support of a mentor aims to nurture them and be a companion, helping them to find other Muslims and resources to ensure they feel connected to the deen.

Salah Workshops

Teaching new Muslims how to correctly perform wudhu and salah

The Prophet (saw) loved and supported new Muslims and he said:

‘None of you will (truly) believe until you love for your brother what you love for yourself.’

(Bukhari and Muslim)
